New Advocate Training

CASA is currently in the midst of New Advocate training for May, but don't worry if you missed out because we will offer it again in June. The June training will begin on the 7th.

CASA of the South Plains is committed to providing volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in court. The need for CASA advocates is growing, with more children entering the foster care system each year. CASA needs everyday community members to take on this special role in order to provide independent voices and hope to abused and neglected children in our local area. If you have a concern for children and desire to make a positive impact in their future could help the 353 children who were left in need of a CASA advocate in 2009.

CASA Advocates must be:
- at least 21 years old
- able to pass a background check and pre-screening process
- willing to commit 18 months to a case
- able to participate in the initial training

To learn more about CASA please contact 763-2272.
